A couple of items from the Captains collection

Hello, Hello, Hello....I hate reproductions, why??? because sometimes you cant tell them apart from the real thing. There are a few reasons why I would buy a reproduction.  The real one is not available, I can't afford the real one or damn it, I just want it. The following items fall in all three catagories.
The first item is a reprinted newspaper...The  Daily Citizen July 2nd 1863, Vicksburg, Mississippi. After the Federals had taken the city. The original of the Daily Citizen was printed on wallpaper due to the lack of printing paper. This was published in the Chicago Herald during the summer of 1885 as a suppliment. Like the original it too was printed on wallpaper. This is an 1885 reproduction of the 1863 Daily Citizen. The second newspaper is a reproduction of the April 15th 1865 New York Herald, covering the assassination of President Lincoln reprinted in 1900.

Now for something different...Mad Max

Hey Guys,
Switching gears here, I was pretty heavy into slot cars a few years back, bought quite a few models and turned them into slot cars and sold quite a few of them on ebay. I kept a couple of them. I didnt realize Mad Max was such a cult figure . I bought this Max Max model and turned it into a slot car...lights front and back and interior lights also.  Heres a few shots of it.

Shots from a Union line

When I thought about making this Union line, I concentrated mainly on the terrain wanting it to look as real as possible. A lot of dirt and very little grass, a lot of different shades of brown were used in making this.

Internet flags

Hey Guys,
Most of the flags I use come from the Internet. Any flag you want is there, but It might not look the way you want it to. Usually what you get is a picture of it after a battle. So sometimes you have to rework them.
Heres a flag I want to use in the future, but I didn't want to use it  looking the way it did. So I repainted it.
The one on the left is before, the one on the right is after. If I do decide to use it, I'll make 2 color copies for front and back and put them together and not use the original.
